‘620/650 Insulated Specimen Transport Pack’ with fibreboard outer box, EPS insulating box, 2 L HDPE jar with 130 mm screw closure (Secondary Package),1 x 850 mL HDPE round jar with 90 mm screw closure and o-ring gasket (Primary Package) and 8 blue absorbent/cushioning pads for transport with chilling mediums or at ambient temperature.
IATA Compliant.

NOTE:
If transporting UN 2814 or UN 2900 place the 6.2 Class label over the UN 3373 label, and mark proper shipping name over ‘Biological Products Category B’ marking.
The absorbent material supplied absorb up to 800 mL of product. Additional absorbent pads can be purchased separately if required.

Assembly & configuration of packaging

8 absorbent/cushioning pads and 1 x 850 mL HDPE round jar with 90 mm screw closure and o-ring gasket is placed inside 2 L HDPE jar and the lid screwed closed. Void space is filled with blue absorbent/cushioning pads. The 2 L HDPE jar is placed into the EPS insulating box and closed. Close and seal the fibreboard box with 48 mm pressure sensitive self adhesive tape in the same manner that the base of the box has been sealed. Label the box as required.
If using dry ice, the box should be pierced in the position marked to allow for venting.
(Make sure that the labels or any other markings are not obliterated or obscured in any way).
